Part-Time Accountant
20-25 hours per week
$32.95 per hour
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Part-Time Accountant to support a small, close-knit accounting office located near Chester, CT. This role supports daily accounting, bookkeeping, and administrative functions and is well suited for someone who enjoys variety in a small-office environment.
This is a part-time position (approximately 20–25 hours per week) paying $32.95 per hour, with flexibility and the opportunity for additional hours during busier periods such as tax season or month-end closings.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoicing, payments, and follow-up
  • Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Enter and maintain financial data in accounting software (QuickBooks or similar)
  • Assist with payroll processing and related reporting
  • Prepare basic financial reports and support month-end, year-end, and tax-related activities
  • Maintain organized and confidential financial records
  • Provide general administrative and clerical support as needed
