Job description

Who We Are:

Sophisticated Hearing is seeking a skilled and empathetic Audiologist to join their team on a full-time or part-time basis. Founded in 2005 by Dr. Ann Marie Olson, Sophisticated Hearing has earned its reputation as Bergen County's trusted audiology practice. With a newly expanded, state-of-the-art office in the heart of Ridgewood, the experience is anything but ordinary. This is hearing care, reimagined. Exceptional hearing care goes beyond tests and technology—it’s about thoughtful guidance, attentive support, and a team committed to your long-term success.

This role offers an opportunity to provide comprehensive hearing care with patient-centered care; minus the high-volume or high-sales environment. Providers are encouraged to take their time with each appointment, ensuring patients are educated properly with expert and warm guidance to appropriately provide the patient with the best hearing solution for their needs and lifestyle.

The ideal candidate will enjoy working with a diverse patient population-primarily adults-and will share the team's passion for exceptional care and continuous learning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct diagnostic hearing evaluations for patients 5 years and older, with an emphasis on adult diagnostics.

  • Provide hearing aid consultations, fittings, verification, and follow-up care using audiology best practices as a team working together for the patient’s best solution.

  • Deliver tinnitus management and therapy, including education and long-term support.

  • Participate in expanding clinical services such as Auditory Processing Disorder (APD) evaluations. (a plus, not required)

  • Fit and manage Lyric extended-wear devices (training and certification provided).

  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.

  • Build long-term patient relationships through empathy, trust, and exceptional communication.

What You Will Need:

  • Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) or Master's in Audiology.

  • Current New Jersey Audiology License (or eligibility for licensure).

  • Strong diagnostic and hearing aid fitting skills using real-ear verification.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a patient-first mindset.

  • Interest in tinnitus management and/or APD services preferred (training available).

  • Patient centered approach and care with warmth providing a “white glove” approach for patients and their families.

What We Offer:

  • Salary plus Bonus potential ($115,000-$125,000), Base of $85K depending on experience. A very generous total compensation package!

  • Medical benefits package paid in part by the practice after 60 days.

  • Matching retirement plan up to 6% available after hire.

  • Generous paid time off (three weeks), Paid Holidays.

  • Continuing education and licensure support.

  • Flexible scheduling options may be made available for the right provider – Monday – Friday – 9AM – 5PM. Part-Time available as well -flexible during business hours.

  • Growth opportunities available.

Join an audiology practice who has been in business for 20 years with a wonderful reputation in the community, providing excellent patient care. Engaging within a warm, team, family oriented environment. A great opportunity to expand your skills, while being able to take the time needed with your patients each day! Part-time - some benefits are available depending on the hours worked, they may be prorated due to the hours worked for the week.
