Job description

    Position Overview

    As a part-time customs entry writer, your primary responsibilities are to review import documents, ensure that all customs invoices and shipment papers are present, and prepare paperwork for clearance.

    Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities

    • Use specialized software to track inventory.

    •  Sign brokerage documents,

    •  Organize customs rejections,

    •  Answer client customs questions,

    •  Complete clerical duties and monitor the processing for goods going through customs.

    •  Utilize benchmarks to procure transportations services at rates that are competitive to CJL

    •  May be required to be on call and work as part of a Saturday rotation

    •  Perform other related job duties as assigned or required. 

    Required Qualifications

    • Competency in Microsoft Office and Google applications Analyst.

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience or a high school diploma/GED.
    • Competency in Microsoft Office and Google applications Analyst.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must be able to communicate effectively via email, phone, and during face to face meetings.

    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

    • Ability to exercise judgment and discretion and function independently, within authorized limits

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Prior experience in supply chain or logistics operations but no prior experience required.
