Job description

Are you a Server looking to work for an amazing organization by serving others and connecting with your co-workers?

Immanuel Communities is seeking a Part-Time Server to work at Deerfield, located at 13731 Hickman Road, Urbandale, IA 50323. Deerfield has 122 independent living apartment homes, 32 independent living patio homes, 20 assisted living, 24 residential care apartment homes and 30 long-term care/skilled nursing suites. MINIMUM AGE OF 16 YEARS OLD REQUIRED. This position requires open availability to work some weekday afternoons 4:00pm-7:00/7:30pm and weekends (mornings, mid-day, evenings) for an average of 12 to 15 hours per week, including holidays.

This position will pay up to $16.15/hour (straight pay/no tips).  Pay will be based upon experience, certifications, skills and education.


What You Will Do

As a Server you will take orders and serve food to residents and guests in a courteous and professional manner. Additional responsibilities of this job include setting-up the dining room and designated areas in the kitchen in anticipation of meals, and clearing tables, meeting dinersโ€™ needs, handling food safely, delivering food to apartments, and cleaning kitchen and dining areas.

Skills & Requirements

Previous food service experience preferred.

Minimum age of 16 years old required.
