Freeport Middle School is seeking an enthusiastic, positive, and student-centered individual to join our outstanding team as a Part-Time (.5 FTE) Office Secretary. This position works during the school year for 3.25 hours per school day. As one of the first people students, families, staff, and visitors interact with each day, this position plays a vital role in creating a welcoming and supportive school environment. The successful candidate will work alongside our full-time Administrative Secretary to ensure the front office operates efficiently while providing exceptional customer service.
Pay range is $23.86 - $28.26 as outlined in the Coastal Education Association Educational Support Professionals Collective Bargaining Agreement. Placement on scale will be determined based on years of similar experience.
Key responsibilities:
  • Manage daily student attendance.
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls.
  • Welcome and assist students, families, staff, and visitors.
  • Assist with general office responsibilities and other administrative tasks.
  • Perform additional office duties as needed to support the daily operation of the school.
