The Role at a glance:

We are looking to add an experienced Part-Time Registered Dietitian  that is interested in working with the elderly to our Cura Hospitality team in Farmington, MO . As a Registered Dietitian with Cura Hospitality, you will have the opportunity to identify and assess the nutritional needs of assigned patients/residents, initiate interventions to achieve and/or maintain individuals nutritional status, and enhance quality of life consistent with patientโ€™s/residentโ€™s goals. *This position will be scheduled 17 hours per week at Farmington Presbyterian Manor, while also covering 8 hours every other week at Rolla Presbyterian Manor.*

What you'll be doing:
  • Provide Nutrition Assessments for admissions, quarterly assessments, annual assessments, tube feedings, weight changes +/-4% in 1 month, wounds, and for significant change assessments (such as a hospice admission or a significant improvement in ADLs)
  • Nutrition education as needed and requested by residents
  • Creation and quarterly updates on care plans for nurses/CNAs/CMAs to reference at meals and snacks to tailor to resident food preferences
  • Completion of MDS (Minimum Data Sheets) for Section K and CAAs
  • Use of the nutrition-focused physical exam to identify residents who meet criteria for malnutrition according to ASPEN Malnutrition Criteria
  • Care conference meetings with families to update them on changes with the resident
  • Collaboration with interdisciplinary team to provide resident-centered care during weekly clinical meetings
  • QAPI Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement Meetings each quarter
  • Monthly Kitchen Inspections and Meal Service Audits
What we're looking for:

Must-haves: 

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in nutrition (Prior to 2024) or related field
  • Passed a national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or meets the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements for eligibility. 
  • Completes 75 hours of continuing education hours every five years, in accordance with the CDR, utilizing the professional portfolio development process. 
  • Licensed or certified, per state requirements. 
  • Knowledge of regulation standards specific to comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residentsโ€™ rights. 
  • Ability to teach others, specifically pertaining to nutrition and dietetics. 

Nice-to-haves:  

  • Master's degree in Nutrition or related field.
  • Experience working in healthcare or long-term care.
