Welcome to our high-energy, fast-paced 30-bed Surgical & Orthopedic Care Unit. Our diverse patient population includes a broad range of medical and post-operative cases, such as:

  • Orthopedic procedures: knees, hips, shoulders
  • General surgeries: appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resections
  • Specialized care: bariatric surgery, sepsis, pancreatitis, and stable pneumothorax

We maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6, supported by highly skilled Patient Care Associates to ensure safe, efficient, and compassionate care delivery.

Education & Licensure:

  • Graduate of an accredited RN program
  • Active RN license (state-specific or compact)
  • Must meet all state board of nursing requirements

Certifications Required:

  • ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support
  • BLS – Basic Life Support (or within 30 days of hire)
  • Any unit-specific certifications (with timeline for completion)

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs
  • Prolonged standing/walking throughout shift
  • Ability to bend, kneel, twist, squat as needed
