Position Overview

We are seeking a part-time RN for our Acute Care - Ortho Surgical unit during night shifts. The RN Clinical Nurse plays a vital role as part of a collaborative team of licensed and unlicensed caregivers, ensuring that patients, families, and significant others receive personalized, high-quality, and safe care. This role operates within a clinical environment managed by Nurse Managers and supported by our Shared Governance Model. Our practice framework is guided by the Professional Practice Model and evidence-based research. RN competencies are aligned with these models and reflect our core values.

All RN Clinical Nurses are expected to be licensed, knowledgeable, and adhere to the nursing practices defined by the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act, implementing the Scope of Practice and Code of Ethics established by the American Nurses Association. As part of the patient services team, you will advocate for the patient’s voice while adhering to system policies and supporting service excellence goals.

  • Exemplary Practice and Outcomes:
    • Utilize the Nursing Process (assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation) to deliver clinical care based on evidence-based practices, ensuring individualized care and effective coordination through partnerships.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Licenses and Certifications:
    • Registered Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT (Multi-state Compact)
    • BLS - Basic Life Support or equivalent certification required upon hire.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of direct patient care nursing experience.
  • Skills:
    • Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English; basic computer skills are essential.
    • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills, along with excellent customer service abilities.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies with composure and respect.
    • Effective time management and critical thinking skills, utilizing evidence and analytical reasoning in nursing practice.
