Job description

Registered Nurses

Full-Time/Part-Time, 1st and 2nd shifts

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team. We offer repeating schedules, so you will work with the same team of nurses and always know what days you have off, even months ahead of time. Teams work every other weekend and generous paid time off is available after 90 days. Although you will have your own patients, nursing team support is the expected as needed.

The ideal candidate will be a responsible, compassionate, team-oriented professional able to provide excellent nursing care in a challenging behavioral health setting.

Responsibilities:

-Safely and accurately administer patient medications using electronic MAR
-Assess patients psychiatric and medical needs for patients who may or may not be able to communicate verbally
-Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, including psychiatry, medical, therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, recreation therapy, dieticians, and BCBAs.
-Perform routine procedures (phlebotomy, vital signs, EKGs) and document in patients’ charts
-Perform CLIA-Waived tests as ordered (Rapid Strep, Rapid Influenza,) document in patient's chart and notifify provider
-Document and communicate with guardians regarding any medical or behavior issues and necessary interventions
-Document weekly summaries on assigned patients
-Foster a supportive and compassionate environment to care for patients

Skills:

-Psychiatric experience preferred, but will train a nurse with a love for our patient population, Autism.

-ADN, BSN or MSN
