Job description

Doyle Security Services (DSS) is seeking ACTIVE/RETIRED LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS for Part Time Seasonal work.

LOCATION: Fire Island, Seaview

SHIFTS AVAILABLE: Part Time Seasonal work, must be available WEEKENDS

Pay Rate: $42 an hour

DUTIES:

Observes and reports activities and incidents at an assigned Bayshore Area. Preserves order and may act to enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises.

Acts to prevent unapproved or unlawful entry during work tour and in a calm manner directs persons who cause a disturbance or unauthorized to leave property.

Protects evidence or scene of incident in the event of accidents, emergencies, or security investigations; sets up barriers and signage, and provides direction or information to others.

All functions, duties or tasks are to be carried out in an honest, ethical, and professional manner, and to be performed in conformance with applicable company policies and procedures. In the event of uncertainty or lack of knowledge of company policies and procedures, employees are required to request clarification or explanations from supervisors or authorized company representatives.

REQUIREMENTS:

Must have and maintain an Armed N.Y.S. Security Guard license for retired Law Enforcement.

Ability to be an effective team member.

Must be able to stand and conduct foot patrols.

Ability to maintain professional composure when dealing with unusual circumstances.

Ability to provide high quality customer service.

Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, at various social levels and across diverse cultures.
