Job Description:
The Club Repair Specialist at Roger Dunn Golf Shops is responsible for promoting and maintaining a store culture that is consistent with Worldwide Golf's values, including the "Sure No Problem" philosophy, which has made Worldwide Golf what it is today. "Sure No Problem" means putting the customer first, and doing whatever we can to ensure a memorable and positive customer experience.
The Club Repair Specialist performs all club performance modifications according to customer's needs. The Club Repair Specialist also provides the customer with a superior golf club repair experience by providing product and service recommendations and constructing or modifying golf clubs as needed.
The Club Repair Specialist will manage inventory through accurately recording shop consumption, usage, and waste. Responsibilities include:
  • Operate shop equipment safely by complying with workplace safety programs.
  • Show accuracy in completing all order forms and repair tags.
  • Measure lie & loft angles, club height, weight & shaft flex, and make adjustments based on customer needs.
  • Repair broken clubheads and changing golf club shafts and grips.
  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of golf club-making and repair techniques, product features and their benefits.
  • Once fully trained, recognize and suggest ways to improve processes.
  • Operate general phone systems and basic computer applications.

Requirements:
  • Demonstrate knowledge of processing information and merchandise via computer and POS register system; operate and use all equipment necessary to run the store.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of word-processing, spreadsheet, inventory, Internet and order processing systems.
  • Freely access all areas of the store including sales floor, stock area and register area by standing, walking, stooping, crawling, climbing, crouching and kneeling and lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds at any given time.
  • Work varied hours/days as business dictates.

Qualifications Desired:
  • Prior golf club repair experience is a plus, but not required (entry-level candidates are welcome to apply!)
  • Knowledge of golf equipment and shafts is preferred, but not required.
  • Experience working in a shop environment and familiarity with basic power tools is preferred, but not required.
  • Knowledge of retail operations is a plus, but not required
