About MIYO Health

At MIYO Health, we believe every child deserves access to the communication, learning, and emotional support they need to thrive. That includes creative therapies that engage the whole child—like music therapy. We’re seeking a compassionate, credentialed Music Therapist to join our team in a fully remote, part-time role (approximately 4–5 hours per month), supporting students virtually.

As a mission-driven startup, we’re a small but mighty team dedicated to helping students succeed with heart, innovation, and personalized care. If you're passionate about using music to create meaningful change, we’d love to connect.

What You’ll Do

In this part-time remote role, you'll provide virtual music therapy services to students with a variety of needs. Sessions may be individual or small group, depending on district needs. You'll collaborate with educators and caregivers to align your services with each student’s IEP goals and support their growth through music.

  • Conduct initial assessments to determine therapy needs and goals
  • Plan and deliver engaging, individualized or group virtual music therapy sessions
  • Use music-based interventions to support communication, motor skills, emotional regulation, and social development
  • Document session outcomes and progress toward goals
  • Collaborate with school teams, caregivers, and MIYO Health staff as needed
  • Contribute to IEP development and updates, when appropriate

Why Join MIYO Health?

  • ???? Creative Impact – Use the power of music to support student development
  • ???? Flexible Scheduling – Approx. 4–5 hours/month; schedule sessions around your availability
  • ???? Remote Role – Provide services from the comfort of your home
  • ???? Supportive Team – We manage logistics so you can focus on students
  • ???? Collaborative Culture – Work with a kind, mission-focused team that values whole-child support

Requirements

To apply, you should have:

  • Certification from the Certification Board for Music Therapists (CB-MT)
  • At least 1–2 years of experience providing music therapy to children or adolescents
  • Reliable internet connection and professional remote workspace
  • Experience working with students with diverse needs and abilities
  • Comfort using teletherapy platforms and tools for virtual engagement
  • Availability for approx. 4–5 hours/month, including documentation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in school settings or with IEP goal alignment
  • Familiarity with special education processes and student services
  • Creative and flexible approach to remote engagement
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Benefits

  • Competitive contractor hourly rate
  • Fully remote and flexible
  • Low monthly time commitment
  • Opportunity to make a meaningful difference through creative therapy
  • Supportive and values-driven organization
