Job Description:

We are seeking a certified Red Cross Water Safety Instructor (WSI) to join our Aquatics team. At The Adirondack Club, we are passionate about helping swimmers of all ages and abilities develop confidence and skills in the water. Our programs feature small class sizes in one of our two pools, personalized instruction, and a supportive team environment. This part-time position involves teaching both group and private swimming lessons, using our modified Red Cross curriculum.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach group lessons (maximum 4-6 students per class) and private lessons for swimmers of various skill levels.
  • Ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all swimmers.
  • Maintain a high standard of professionalism and safety during all lessons.

Requirements:

  • Red Cross Water Safety Instructor (WSI) certification
  • Availability to work Saturdays and/or Sundays for a minimum of 4 total hours as well as weekdays. Our Group lessons run Mon-Friday 4pm-7pm.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for teaching and helping others succeed in the water.
  • Ideal candidate would be interested in teaching Children Levels1-4 and Adult Beginner and Adult Intermediate group lessons.
