Part-Time Recruiter

Job Type: Part-Time (20 Hours Per Week)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per Hour

About Us

International Steel and Counterweights (ISC) is a leading manufacturer serving a variety of industries with high-quality steel products and counterweight solutions. We are seeking a Part-Time Recruiter to help attract and identify qualified talent to support our growing workforce.

Position Summary

The Part-Time Recruiter serves as the primary point of contact for company recruiting efforts. This position is responsible for sourcing candidates, screening applicants, coordinating interviews, maintaining recruiting records, and partnering with hiring managers to fill open positions. This role focuses exclusively on recruiting and candidate selection activities and does not include onboarding responsibilities.

The ideal candidate is organized, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Please note: This is not a traditional corporate office recruiting position. The successful candidate will work in an active steel mill environment and must be comfortable with a fast-paced atmosphere, changing priorities, and frequent interaction with production leaders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Source qualified candidates through job boards, social media, referrals, and other recruiting channels.
  • Create, update, and post job advertisements on appropriate hiring platforms.
  • Screen resumes and employment applications to identify qualified candidates.
  • Conduct phone screenings and preliminary candidate interviews.
  • Coordinate interview scheduling between candidates and hiring managers.
  • Maintain accurate candidate records and recruiting databases.
  • Track recruiting activity and hiring metrics using spreadsheets and internal systems.
  • Work closely with department managers to understand current and future staffing needs.
  • Assist with updating and maintaining job descriptions.
  • Build and maintain positive candidate relationships throughout the recruitment process.
  • Communicate with outside recruiting agencies as needed.
  • Ensure recruiting practices comply with company policies and employment regulations.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, human resources, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), recruiting software, or HRIS platforms preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple openings and priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Manufacturing recruiting experience preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field is a plus.
