RECEIVING CLERK - PART-TIME (MUST BE ABLE TO START AT 6:00AM)

As a part-time Receiving Clerk will oversee all deliveries to the hotel and assist the Purchasing Manager in the organization in all storage areas of the Hotel.


Key Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:

· Receiving hotel deliveries and shipments
· Ensure paperwork is signed and processed upon receipt
· Inspect product for quality based on hotel standards
· Verify quantities based on purchase orders and invoices
· Record all invoice discrepancies and returns and report to Purchasing Manager
· Proper labeling of product upon delivery
· Proper record keeping and logging procedures
· Organization and cleanliness of all storage areas. (Receiving dock, walk ins, dry storage, guest luggage room)
· Proper stocking of all areas, including grab & go market.
· Assist in monthly inventory audits
· Assist in ordering in Purchasing Manager’s absence
· F&B admin work as needed by F&B directors



Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Job Requirements:

· Verbal & written communication skills.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Time management skills with ability to meet deadlines.
· Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
· Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
· Basic math & record taking ability.
· Knowledge & ability to learn admin software & System
· High School diploma or equivalent required; previous convention/event and catering sales experience preferred.
· Ability to demonstrate creativity and knowledge of food and beverage/events desired.
· Must have a valid driver’s license.
· Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills to frequently negotiate convince sell and influence other managerial personnel hotel guest(s) and/or corporate clients.
· Experience with professional selling skills desired: opening probing supporting closing
· Must be proficient in general computer knowledge especially MS Suite
· Must be able to work independently and simultaneously manage multiple tasks, strong organization and presentation skills
