Job Summary
  • Lead the Receiving and Warehouse team to achieve 100% receiving accuracy, perfect backroom organization, and seamless product flow from dock to sales floor.
  • Own auditing receipts and invoices, receiving paperwork, backroom organization, delivery coordination, pursuing vendor credits, coordination of the Sort & Segregate Program, and auditing the BOPUIS (Buy Online Pick-Up In Store) process while providing strong leadership and eliminating shrink at the source.
  • Full-time salaried or hourly leadership role with RF admin rights, AP portal access, forklift fleet responsibility, and direct path to Operations Manager.
  • Praise worthy customer service is our goal in every customer interaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership Duties
    • Train and schedule Receiving/Warehouse associates and Delivery Drivers on accurate counting, forklift safety, paperwork standards, Sort & Segregate, and BOPUIS protocols.
    • Conduct daily huddles and weekly 1:1s; recognize perfect trucks and coach discrepancies immediately.
  • Auditing Receipts & Invoices
    • Audit 100% of high-value and 30% of all receipts; verify piece counts, scan accuracy, damage photos, and ASN exceptions in real time.
    • Match every invoice to PO, receiving report, and BOL; resolve discrepancies within 48 hours.
  • Sort & Segregate Program Coordination
    • Oversee daily Sort & Segregate process: separate salvage, recyclable, hazardous waste, and return-to-vendor items from regular freight.
    • Ensure team correctly identifies and stages BOPUIS over-receives, defective/damaged goods, cardboard/plastic, and e-waste in designated bins.
  • BOPUIS Process Auditing
    • Audit 100% of BOPUIS picks and staging weekly: verify correct SKU, quantity, and condition before customer notification.
    • Spot-check BOPUIS holds in the warehouse for proper labeling, expiration (48-hour rule), and security.
    • Resolve BOPUIS exceptions (shorts, damages, cancellations) same-day and retrain staff on scan-to-stage accuracy.
  • Receiving Paperwork, Backroom Organization & Delivery Coordination
    • Maintain complete receiving paperwork, 5S backroom standards, and velocity-based slotting.
    • Schedule and coordinate customer deliveries, contractor will-calls, and store transfers.
  • Pursuing Credits from Vendors
    • Aggressively pursue every credit (shorts, damages, mis-ships, quality issues, BOPUIS over-receives); submit with photos within 24 hours and recover 95%+ of eligible dollars.
  • Reporting & Continuous Improvement
    • Publish weekly dashboards on receiving accuracy, credit recovery, Sort & Segregate volume, and BOPUIS fulfillment rate.
    • Lead improvement projects to reduce invoice exceptions, BOPUIS errors, and waste-hauling costs.
  • All other duties as assigned by store management.

Required Qualifications and Skills
  • Education
    • High school diploma or GED; associate or bachelor's in logistics/supply chain a plus.
  • Experience
    • 2+ years receiving/warehouse leadership; proven experience with Sort & Segregate, BOPUIS fulfillment, AP reconciliation, and vendor credit pursuit required.
  • Skills & Abilities
    • Leadership that creates a culture of "every piece counts and every credit is ours."
    • Expert in receiving, WMS, BOPUIS module, RF scanners, and Excel reporting.
    • Detail-obsessed auditor who never signs a BOL or lets a BOPUIS order leave the dock wrong.
  • Physical Requirements
    • Lift/carry up to 50 lbs repeatedly; operate forklift 4+ hours daily.
    • Early-morning availability and occasional weekends.
