Job Description
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:Under the supervision of the Dean and the Director of Nursing working with the program faculty, the person selected for this position will be assigned teaching duties, administrative duties, supervising students at the affiliate clinical sites throughout the area served by the program, coordinating this functions with staff at the clinical affiliate sites and with program staff. Evenings and weekend summer duties will be included.
Essential Duties Summary
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES:
The duties below are representative of the duties of the classification and are not intended to cover all of the duties performed by the incumbent(s) of any particular position.   • The part-time Clinical Instructor provides guidance, instruction, practice, oversight, and assessment in coordination with the syllabus and faculty Clinical Coordinator with respect to the clinical site staff, supervisors, and management.
  • The Clinical Instructor also is involved in mentoring students and serves as a liaison between students and clinical staff. This position requires an associate degree in Radiologic Technology and a current ARRT, CRT, and fluoroscopy license.
  • The part-time Clinical Coordinator provides guidance, instruction, practice, oversight, and assessment in coordination with the syllabus and faculty Program Director with respect to the clinical site staff, supervisors, and management.
  • The Clinical Instructor also is involved in mentoring students and serves as a liaison between students and clinical staff.
  • Clinical site acquisition assistance/participation and maintenance is also a supporting responsibility for this role.
  • The coordinator also participates in the college's outcomes assessment. This position requires a bachelor's degree and a current ARRT, CRT, and fluoroscopy license.
  • The part-time instructor performs instructional duties, evaluation and assessment of student work, and timely submission of grades.
  • The instructor also participates in the college's outcomes assessment.
  • This position requires an associate degree in Radiologic Technology and a current ARRT, CRT, and fluoroscopy license. This position is currently located in Redding, California.

Please note clinical facilities are within a 150 mile radius of Yuba College.
REQUIRED DUTIES:
  • Demonstrate sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disabilities and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.

Required Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:The successful candidate, by the final filing date, must possess the minimum qualifications for instructors in Radiological Technology as governed by JRC and RHB:
  • Any bachelor's degree and two years of professional experience;
  • OR any associate degree and six years of professional experience;
  • OR the minimum qualifications as set by JCRET and RHB, whichever is higher *JCERT and RHB, the two agencies that oversee the accreditation of the Radiological Technology program, require significantly higher educational criteria than the state's published minimum qualifications. All full-time faculty positions, especially program directors and clinical coordinators, require a degree higher than an Associate Degree, as well as clinical and teaching experience.
  • EQUIVALENCY REQUIREMENT: All applicants are required to meet the minimum qualifications specified by the Yuba Community College District (YCCD) by the application filing date. Alternatively, applicants must have obtained an equivalency determination from the District before the publication of the Recruitment Announcement. The Yuba Community College District is seeking qualified candidates for this part-time, temporary (Adjunct) faculty position. Part-time instructor positions are filled as needed through ongoing recruitment. Applicants are contacted and hired year-round based on college needs. This pool is open continuously and refreshed every two years.
Applicants in this pool will remain active for two years. After two years applicants will receive an email with information on how to remain in the pool.
