Verdantas is seeking an experienced Senior Professional Land Surveyor to join our growing team in Northern New England. This position is part-time and is anticipated to work around 20 hours per week, based on company demands.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to manage a diverse array of survey projects while strategically partnering with clients to achieve their infrastructure and sustainability goals. As a prominent member of the survey team, you will collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to support engineering, construction, and land development projects, ensuring legal compliance, technical accuracy, and operational efficiency. Verdantas integrates a wide array of cutting-edge tools to help you deliver precise and efficient survey solutions, including Drones & Aerial Mapping, 3D Laser Scanners, Bathymetric Units, Lidar Systems, and GPS.

What You'll Do:

  • Conventional survey and GPS computations and error analysis

  • Land records research

  • Field crew supervision

  • Site and boundary reconnaissance as needed. (he won't be doing field surveying)

  • Make boundary decisions based on Colonial Land reconstruction theories

  • Prepare and seal final surveys for boundary, subdivision, site plan etc.

  • Prepare engineering basemaps for civil and structural design projects

  • Communicate with architects, engineers, geologists, etc., in a collaborative effort

  • Coordinate with Principal Surveyor for evaluation of staffing, equipment, project, and marketing efforts

  • Assisting with preparing project budget estimates and contracts

  • Attend planning board or agency meetings local to Maine projects

What You Bring:

  • Associate's Degree and 10 years of relevant experience; or 20+ years' of equivalent experience

  • Massachusetts or Maine Survey License required. NH license optional

  • 5+ years of professional experience in the practice of land surveying in northern New England

  • Ability to manage projects and handle client relations

  • Experience with AutoCAD design software, including Civil3D, a plus

  • Strong technical skills

Salary Range:

The compensation range for this position is $45/hr to $52/hr, with final compensation determined by years of experience, qualifications, and licensing status.
