Job description

This position is a DIRECT HIRE ROLE from day one

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join our team. This position offers flexibility and may be either full-time or part-time for the right individual. When inspection workloads are lighter, the successful candidate will be willing to assist with other production and manufacturing-related tasks to support overall operations

Responsibilities

  • Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections to verify product quality and conformance to specifications.
  • Inspect parts and assemblies prior to shipment to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Use a variety of precision inspection tools and measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other quality instruments.
  • Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records.
  • Identify and report nonconforming products and work with production to resolve quality issues.
  • Assist with production and manufacturing duties as needed during periods of lighter inspection activity.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and help maintain compliance with the company's quality management system.

Qualifications

  • Experience as a Quality Inspector in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
  • Proficiency with precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working within an ISO 9001 quality management system is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
