Part-time County Contractual Position open to all qualified candidates. Location: 711 Bestgate Road, Annapolis, MD 21401 Hours: 16 hours per week Benefits: None Job Description
Nature of Work:
Under the supervision of the Bilingual Family Skills Program Supervisor, this position is responsible for the site coordination of the selected evidence-based family skills program, such as Strengthening Families or Botvin Life Skills, virtually and in person, at Anne Arundel County Public Schools and Ordnance Road Correctional Center. Assist and coordinate the implementation of program cycles. Must have the ability to communicate in both English and Spanish.
Duties include oversight of program facilitators; assisting with securing locations for programs based on agreement with AACPS; recruiting participating families; assisting with logistics such as ordering food, program materials and supplies, coordinating transportation, childcare, and linking families to community services; completing attendance and reports; and telephone and email correspondence with program participants and staff.
Responsible for program coordination, liaising with community organizations to promote and recruit participants for the program, and assisting with grant deliverables. Maintain fidelity to the evidence-based model. Requires evening hours while the program is in session. Requires a valid driver's license and a personal vehicle for travel around the county.
Respond to call-down drills or actual emergency events as soon as possible, regardless of when the message is received.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree in public health, health education, social work or other related field from an accredited college or university.
Experience:
Site coordination of the Strengthening Families Program or any other family-based program.
Desired or Preferred Qualifications:
Strengthening Families Program (7-17) Family Coach Certification.
