Product Data Specialist 4730 N Service Dr, Winona, MN 55987 HEADP Part-time Shift(s): MON TUE WED THU FRI 7:00am - 5:00pm
15 - 25 hours/week OVERVIEW: Working as Part-time Product Data Specialist, you will be responsible for working with Fastenal's supplier partners to collect, review and update product data throughout the product lifecycle. This role will collaborate with key stakeholders and suppliers to optimize data workflows and drive the accuracy, consistency and completeness of Fastenal's product and supplier data. RESPONSIBILITIES: The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: o Using product and industry knowledge to make sound business decisions when generating product content to drive efficiencies throughout the supply chain and sales process o Assisting with product data needs and changes with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and efficient operations o Representing Fastenal as a subject matter expert in product data best practices and principles, both internally and externally o Identifying content gaps within our product categories and developing strategies to fill these gaps o Owning and facilitating the process of collecting product data to be ingested into Fastenal's systems o Helping to ensure accuracy, consistency and completeness of product data throughout the product collection process o Helping to champion category strategies and product data governance throughout the onboarding and enrichment processes REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: The following skills and qualifications are required for this position: o 18 years of age or older o Excellent written and oral communication skills o Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite o Highly motivated, self-directed and customer service oriented o Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities o Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills o Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment o Work independently as well as in a team environment o Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork o Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY) PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: o Possess or are working towards a degree related to Business, Marketing or Operations OR have industry related work experience o Prior experience with Product Information Management (PIM) systems and data management best practices o Knowledge and familiarity with industrial products ABOUT US: Since 1967 Fastenal has grown as a distributor of industrial and construction supplies from a single branch to a Fortune 500 company with over 3,000 servicing locations, each providing tailored local inventory and personal service for our customers.
