In this strategic role, the Sr. Product Manager, Product Lifecycle will define and drive the strategy, innovation, and execution of world-class products that serve one of our membership domains (security, risk, audit, governance, privacy). As a subject matter expert, this position will collaborate cross-functionally with key stakeholders at all levels of the organization to ensure the development of scalable, impactful products.

This role will be responsible for driving the end-to-end product lifecycle, from identifying market needs to expanding our product offerings across B2C, B2B, and B2B2C channels. The Sr. Product Manager's primary focus will be on spearheading growth initiatives through customer insights, competitive and market analysis, and the development of new go-to-market (GTM) channels and strategic partnerships. As a senior product leader, this role will oversee product expansion, P&L management, and ensure that all product strategies align with and support the company's overarching goals and long-term vision.

Responsibilities

Strategy & Vision:

  • In partnership with the VP, Product and Senior Director, Product, help define and communicate the product strategy and vision for select ISACA products.
  • Align the product roadmap with business goals and customer needs to ensure long-term success and growth.
  • Develop and understand your domain audience persona as they progress through their career journey.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities in the domain space.
  • Determine growth strategies by leveraging multiple data sources including regional data, channel data, market data, focus groups, and competitive info.
  • Build and maintain a strong understanding of the global landscape, including regional differences and unique challenges.
  • Drive development of new product content, manage marketing messaging approach to ensure it supports the value proposition, guide sales on product adoption, and continuously drive product success through the cross-functional team who supports go-to-market and ongoing sales opportunities.

Customer-Centric Approach:

  • Continuously gather feedback from members, instructors, and other key stakeholders to improve the product experience.
  • Use data and insights to drive product decisions and ensure that the products meet the needs of diverse global customers.
  • Conduct user research, surveys, and usability testing to ensure products are intuitive and impactful.
  • Lead voice of customer, market research and prototyping to identify customer needs and market gaps.
  • Participate as a product expert on sales calls with customers.
  • Attend quarterly business reviews with assigned authorized training partners.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with internal stakeholders (e.g., content teams, engineering, UX/UI designers, marketing) to define product requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Foster collaboration between teams across different regions to ensure consistency and alignment in product offerings.
  • Act as a liaison between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders to ensure clear communication and understanding.

Product Lifecycle Management:

  • Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from ideation through development, launch, and iteration.
  • Set clear goals and KPIs to measure product success and continuously evaluate product performance against these metrics.
  • Prioritize features and functionality based on customer needs, business value, and market dynamics.
  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for new product launches and job practice updates, including marketing, training, and support materials.
  • Define value proposition, global strategy, and go-to-market propositions for marketing to leverage in content for all audiences
  • Train B2B, B2B2C, B2C, and ATO/Partner sales teams on new products.
  • Work cross-functionally to ensure all detailed product requirements are defined, and monthly & yearly product goals are met.
  • Take training in your domain area to better understand current and future offerings.

Innovation & Trends:

  • Stay up to date on trends and emerging technologies in the learning and edtech space, such as AI, adaptive learning, gamification, and immersive learning technologies.
  • Lead innovation in the development of new learning solutions that are both scalable and engaging for global audiences.
  • Challenge the status quo by proposing new ideas, testing them, and scaling successful innovations globally

Global Market Considerations:

  • Understand the global market for your assigned domain persona.
  • Develop products that can scale across multiple regions and ensure they are adaptable to meet the cultural, legal, and technological needs of global markets.
  • Tailor products for diverse learning preferences and environments.
  • Work with regional teams to understand the need to localize and adapt products for different markets, as required.

Qualifications

Required Field of Study:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, product management or technology

Minimum Years of Experience Required:

  • 8+ years of progressive product management experience, including 3+ years in management overseeing large teams or cross-functional initiatives.

Description of Minimum Experience Required:

  • Progressive experience in product management, product development, or product marketing
  • Proven ability to translate strategy into action
  • Delivery and development of services, information, training, web based, and/or technical or software products.
  • Experience managing a product P&L
  • Familiarity with market research, consumers' behavior, and marketing techniques
  • Experience supporting sales enablement programs and supporting sales during the customer sale as needed

Preferred Field of Study:

  • Master's degree in business, marketing, product management, education/learning, technology degree from an accredited university

Preferred Years of Experience:

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in the product development field with 5+ years in management overseeing large teams or cross functional initiatives.

Description of Preferred Experience:

  • Proven record managing Product management at international scale
  • Experience managing the entire product lifecycle
  • Knowledge of product management tools (i.e., Jira, Trello, etc.)
  • Experience working in an agile environment
  • Managing technology-focused B2B and B2C product lines
  • Experience working with direct and channel (authorized resellers or delivery partners for training products)
  • Understanding of IT security, cybersecurity, IT audit, IT governance or IT risk management
