Join Our Team as a Production and Design Specialist at Signarama!
Signarama Chantilly, VA is a brand-new, state-of-the-art sign production center serving local businesses with custom signage, graphics, and branded solutions. We are looking for a part-time Production and Design Specialist to join our vibrant team. This role involves designing, producing, and installing high-quality signage while providing excellent service. You will use software, hand tools, and production machines to craft all types of signs and products. If you enjoy creative work and hands-on tasks, this position is perfect for you!
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and create all types of signs, including vinyl, digital prints, routed signs, and fabricated products.
  • Mask, weed, and apply vinyl to various substrates (ACM, PVC, coroplast, acrylic, aluminum, etc.).
  • Print, mount, trim, and finish digital graphics and signs.
  • Use an X-Acto knife, ruler, cutting tools, and related tools safely and efficiently.
  • Load and operate a cold-pressure laminator.
  • Load and cut vinyl on plotter equipment.
  • Load media/ink and print high-quality output using wide-format printers.
Equipment & Materials:
  • Operate a vertical panel saw safely and accurately.
  • Move raw materials (sheet stock, roll goods, substrates) throughout the shop.
  • Maintain production machinery, tools, and workstations in proper working order.
  • Keep accurate inventory of materials, substrates, and supplies.
Field Work & Installations
  • Travel to customer locations for site surveys, measurements, and sign installations.
  • Install window graphics, wall graphics, panel signs, decals, and vehicle graphics.
Qualifications:
  • Strong computer skills and willingness to learn sign production software (FlexiSIGN, Illustrator, CorelDRAW etc.).
  • Experience in sign production, graphic design, or digital printing.
  • Previous shop or manufacturing experience.
  • Knowledge of sign materials, equipment, and installation techniques.
  • Ability to perform basic math (measurements, scaling, fractions, decimals).
  • Comfortable with computers and eager to learn new design and POS software.
  • Physically fit to handle manual tasks including lifting over 50 lbs and climbing ladders
