Location Support Assistant
Department: Columbia College Global
Location: Hunter Army Airfield, GA
Type: Staff, Part-time
Salary: $13 - $13 per hour (Pay range may vary based on geographic location)

Job Summary:
This position will serve in one or more of the following capacities to provide support for the academic services at the above-listed CCG location. Each role listed below has specific expectations and duties which will need to be performed as described, and which will define not only the full nature of the position but also the days and work hours scheduled for each week.
Test Proctor: Will administer proctored exams for students or other individuals. The employee will become familiar with administration of the all tests that are proctored at the designated location. Please note that some exams require differing training and approvals to administer them.
Tutor: Will provide individual and group tutoring to students via in-person or virtual setting. The tutor will assist students in improving academic achievement by meeting with them on a regular basis to clarify learning problems and work on study skills. Other assistance includes: become familiar with course learning objectives and syllabus for any course in which they support; review class material and expectations; and work through homework assignments with the student. The tutor is offered as a supplement to instruction provided in in-seat and online Columbia College classes.
Virtual Course Monitor: Has primary responsibility for monitoring courses taught virtually in place of an instructor, remaining in the classroom throughout the class.
Building Monitor: The building monitor has the primary responsibility for monitoring all building functions for all college operations after office hours in the evenings and on weekends. The monitor is responsible for the general safety of the education complex during this period. This is a part-time position
  • Perform job duties in accordance with Columbia College’s vision, mission and values, and contributes to the development of the CCG Department.
  • Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent*
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends.
  • Bachelor’s degree required for individuals who will tutor or be a test proctor for locations offering CLEP/DANTES testing.
