Part Time Probation information

What is a part time probation officer?

Part-time probation officers are professionals who supervise and support individuals placed on probation by the court, but they work fewer hours than full-time officers—often evenings or weekends. Their duties include monitoring compliance with probation terms, meeting with probationers, writing reports, and sometimes working with law enforcement or community organizations. Part-time roles are common in smaller jurisdictions or for those who need flexible schedules. These positions require strong communication and organizational skills, and often a background in criminal justice or social work.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a part time probation officer?

To thrive as a Part Time Probation Officer, you need a background in criminal justice, social work, or a related field, often with a relevant degree or law enforcement experience. Familiarity with case management software, legal documentation systems, and potential state certifications are typically required. Strong interpersonal skills, critical thinking, and effective communication help in building rapport with clients and collaborating with legal and social services. These skills are vital to ensure compliance with court orders, support rehabilitation, and maintain public safety.

What are some common challenges faced by part time probation officers, and how can they effectively manage their caseloads?

Part-time probation officers often manage smaller caseloads but face the challenge of balancing their limited hours with the need to provide thorough supervision and support to clients. Time management is crucial, as is maintaining clear communication with full-time colleagues and other agencies to ensure consistent oversight. Effective organization, prioritizing urgent cases, and leveraging digital tools for documentation and scheduling can help part-time officers stay on top of their responsibilities and make a meaningful impact within their available hours.

Supervisor / Team Member | Immersive Gamebox

Part Time | Entertainment, Hospitality, Customer Service

About Us
Immersive Gamebox is redefining how people play together. Inside our interactive Gameboxes, guests team up for unforgettable experiences powered by projection mapping, touch screens, motion tracking, and surround sound. No clunky headsets. No limits. Just pure fun.

We are building a team of people who thrive on creating moments guests will talk about long after they leave. If you are the type who gets energized by busy days, new faces, and making every guest feel like the most important person in the room, you will fit right in. If you are looking to stand in the corner and collect a paycheck, this is not the role for you.

The Job
As a Supervisor, you lead from the floor. You set the tone for the day, keep the venue buzzing with energy, and make sure every guest leaves smiling. You will be hands-on, guiding walk-ins through booking, running interactive sessions, keeping the venue spotless, and jumping in wherever needed to keep things moving.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome and engage guests with warmth and enthusiasm, no exceptions

  • Drive walk-in bookings by actively promoting the experience inside and outside the venue

  • Host games with energy, keeping the mood fun and inclusive for every group

  • Maintain a spotless, organized, and guest-ready environment at all times

  • Handle questions and concerns quickly, making sure guests leave impressed

  • Open or close the venue confidently, ensuring all operational steps are completed without shortcuts

Experience and Skills

  • Natural people-person who genuinely enjoys guest interaction

  • Thrives in a busy environment and can switch gears fast

  • Organized and dependable, even under pressure

  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

  • Confident with tech like tablets and booking systems

What We’re Looking For

  • You bring energy to every shift and keep it until the doors close

  • You care about details because you know guests notice them

  • You are a problem solver who acts quickly and does not wait for someone else to fix things

  • You enjoy working as part of a team and make those around you better

Performance & Employment Terms

Employment is subject to successful completion of a performance based 90 day probationary period.

Benefits

  • Be part of a fast-growing entertainment brand

  • Test our newest games before they launch

  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for you and your family

  • Monthly performance-based incentive tied to venue results (net revenue, reviews, hours worked), subject to company discretion, shared among eligible team members.
