Job description

Hotel Security Officer: Santa Clara CA. Area (Part Time/On Call)

United Security Services, Inc. (CA PPO 6145), a national security company, is seeking professional Security Guards for an upscale hotel in the Santa Clara area. United Security guards are dedicated to providing outstanding customer service to our clients and customers. The leaders in our company, as well as many of our security managers, are typically retired law enforcement and military personnel with proven leadership skills and well-established relationships with federal, state and local public safety agencies.

Security Guard Requirements for this Position:

  • At least 2 years of public safety or upscale private security experience.
  • Excellent customer service skills and sound judgement.
  • Proficient in verbal communication with hotel staff, guests and visitors
  • Effective in conducting hotel security tasks, patrols and safety responsibilities.
  • Possess, or can acquire by time of employment, a California BSIS Guard Card.
  • Availability and flexibility to work any day, including weekends and holidays, and any work shift based on the operational needs of the hotel.
  • Satisfactory writing skills, with the ability to effectively create Security Incident Reports.

Security Guard Preferred Qualities and Skills for this Position:

  • Knowledgeable in the key aspects of private security including, but not limited to: Handling hotel security tasks, responding to emergencies, CCTV footage, etc.
  • Knowledgeable in the area of criminal law.
  • Experienced with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn security software applications.
  • Possess a working knowledge of the hospitality industry and the related nomenclature.

The hourly wage for this position starts at $21.00 but shall be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
