What You'll Do:
  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, clergy, and guests by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a cultural institution.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and authorized access points; verify credentials, issue visitor badges and/or passes, and maintain accurate access-related logs.
  • Control visitor and contractor entry in accordance with established procedures, providing directions and assisting with a welcoming environment for services, events, and daily activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting security-related concerns.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned interior areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized access and report unusual conditions.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
