Job description

The Part-Time Pizza Maker prepares food that meets current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations by following established policies and procedures and ensures that safe and high quality food service is provided at all times. He or she assembles, cooks, cuts, and/or boxes pizzas and may also prepare dough and slice, dice, and portion foods in preparation for baking.
The ideal candidate for this position has a high school diploma or high school equivalency diploma and one year prior experience in a food service setting. Additional culinary training/coursework highly desired. He or she must be committed to the customers, reliable to his or her co-workers, and be a self-motivated, organized, and detailed individual. Effective oral and written skills, good time management skills, and professional dress, speech, and behavior are all required for this position.
COMPENSATION

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Sets up the pizza line for service
  • Prepares and cooks food according to customer's order
  • Expedites take-out orders
  • Cleans work areas and all equipment used in food preparation
  • Follows safety and sanitation rules and practices
  • Restocks food supplies and takes inventory when required

QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or high school equivalency diploma required
  • One year of relevant experience
  • Formal culinary training a plus
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
  • Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed
  • Able to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
