ABOUT THE POSITION:

Turning Point Action is seeking a creative, reliable, and detail-oriented Part-Time Photographer to support grassroot training and field event efforts. This role is responsible for capturing and editing staff headshots and high-quality content that reflects the energy and impact of Turning Point Action's programs and initiatives. The Part-Time Photographer will work closely with the Chase the Vote administrative team. Attention to detail, quick turnaround, and visual storytelling skills are a must. The ideal candidate must fit the company and department culture, embodying the following traits: grassroots humility, warrior spirit, and persistent innovation.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

Capturing high-quality headshots for staff trainings

Photographing events, voter outreach efforts, and grassroots activities.
Editing and delivering photos within required turnaround times.
Organizing and uploading photos to shared drives and media libraries.
Coordinating with the administrative team on shot lists and coverage needs.
Ensuring brand consistency and visual standards are met.
Traveling locally to cover assigned events and activities as scheduled.
Maintaining and managing photography equipment.
Assisting with media coverage planning for major initiatives and events.
Willingness to fulfill all duties listed and any additional duties assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1 year experience in photography (event, journalism, campaign, or commercial preferred).
Working knowledge of photo editing software (Lightroom, Photoshop, or similar).
Ability to manage file organization and digital asset delivery.
Have close personal alignment with the mission and principles of the organization.
Demonstrate a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in fast-paced environments.
Be organized, a self-starter, and deadline-driven.
Ability to work evenings and weekends as events require.
Reflect a strong work ethic and desire for excellence.

"WOW!" SKILLS:

Experience photographing political, campaign, or grassroots events.
Experience with social media photo formatting and quick-turn content.
Experience working with communications or digital media teams.
Access to professional-grade camera and lens equipment.
