Communications Coordinator

Integrated Community (Comunidad Integrada / CIIC) Steamboat Springs, CO

Reports to: Executive Director Status: Part-time, approximately 20-25 hours per week Compensation: $27 to $30 per hour, plus paid vacation and paid holidays

At Integrated Community, every family we walk alongside carries a story worth telling. We are looking for a Communications Coordinator who can carry those stories to our neighbors, our funders, and the wider Yampa Valley, in both Spanish and English, with the warmth and dignity our community members deserve.

Integrated Community is the only BIPOC-led, BIPOC-serving nonprofit across Routt and Moffat Counties. For nearly a decade we have supported immigrant families as they integrate, contribute, and build independent lives in Northwest Colorado. Our work spans four areas: Community Navigation, Language Services, Education, and Mental Health.

What you will do
  • Tell our story across newsletters, social media, and our website, in Spanish and English
  • Keep our brand consistent, warm, and community-centered in everything we publish
  • Support fundraising and event promotion, including our annual Boat Cruise
  • Draft and coordinate communications for donors, funders, and community partners
  • Capture and organize photos and stories from our programs (with care and consent)
  • Help staff share their work clearly with the people who need to hear it
Qualifications

Required

  • Fluency in Spanish and English, written and spoken
  • Strong writing skills and a warm, clear voice in both languages
  • Experience with Webflow: able to go into our website, make changes, and publish updates
  • Experience managing social media for an organization, including Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp
  • Experience creating and sending email newsletters in Mailchimp
  • Design skills in Canva or Adobe
  • Organization, follow-through, and a genuine connection to the communities we serve

Preferred

  • Photography and photo editing for social media and print
  • Familiarity with Meta Business Suite and analytics such as email open rates and post reach
  • Experience with nonprofits, community organizations, or bilingual communications
  • Comfort learning new tools (we also work in Airtable and Glide)
  • Experience with the ethical use of Ai in media

Lived experience as part of an immigrant or bilingual community is valued and welcomed.
