Within Franciscan Health, our Pharmacy Resolution Center Staff Pharmacists shall report directly to the Pharmacy Resolution Center Manager. The Staff Pharmacist primarily performs the duties of reviewing medication refill requests, signing passed protocol orders under provider cosign, collecting patient data from the electronic medical, and contacting patients to schedule clinic visits or communicate medication refill information. Staff pharmacists will, also, assist in training new team members as needed, act as a resource for the Pharmacy Resolution Center Specialists, and act as interim Manager upon request of the Pharmacy Resolution Center Manager.

This is a PRN position, so hours will vary depending on staffing and coverage needs. Coverage needs also need to increase around holidays, spring and fall breaks, and during the summer months when full-time staff are taking PTO.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
  • Assist in the training of other Pharmacy Resolution Center personnel as requested by the Pharmacy Resolution Center Manager.
  • Review prescriptions and medication refill orders, checking for appropriateness, and providing the information needed to order the medication refill properly and safely.
  • Participate in scheduled services, educational presentations, computer-based training, and staff meetings.
  • Ensure that any document containing PHI are stored and disposed of confidentially and securely.
  • Utilizes EPIC to access patient medication orders and profiles, process refill requests with documentation in the medical record, provide needed information, and resolves problems

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Required Bachelor's Degree Pharmacy
  • Preferred Doctorate Pharmacy
  • 3 years Retail Pharmacy Preferred
  • 3 years Mail Order or Specialty pharmacy Preferred
  • 3 years Pharmacy Benefit Company Preferred
  • 3 years Long Term Care Pharmacy Preferred
  • 3 years Inpatient Hospital, Clinical or Ambulatory Pharmacy Preferred
  • Registered Pharmacist (RPh) - State Licensing Board
