Posting Summary
Rutgers School of Health Professions (SHP) is seeking a Research Support Associate to work in the Department of Health Informatics.
Under the direction of the Principal Investigator, the Research Support Associate is responsible for preparing reports and presentations based on research findings while maintaining organized records of activities and results. This position will collaborate with team members and participate actively in projects.
Responsibilities include providing day-to-day support in running NIH clinical trial projects as well as assisting with the preparation, editing, and submission of manuscripts and grant applications. The position ensures accurate research and regulatory documentation in compliance with institutional and federal guidelines, coordinates meetings and research events, and manages scheduling and logistics.
This position will also involve tracking project timelines and deliverables, as well as preparing reports and summaries for investigators. Additionally, this position will include recruiting and screening participants, conducting in-person intakes and labs, data entry, document management, and various research-related administrative tasks as needed, along with performing additional responsibilities to ensure efficient research program operations.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:
  • Assists in the development and renewal of IRB protocols.
  • Assists in IRB modification.
  • Assists in data collection, data cleaning and data analysis.
  • Schedules and recruits participants and conducts participants screening.
  • Conducts in-person intakes and labs with participants.
  • Conducts literature searches assigned.
  • Assists in preparation of research abstracts and manuscript drafts, revisions, and submission in collaboration with the PI and graduate students.
  • Assists in preparation of posters and/or oral presentations as required in collaboration with the PI and graduate students.
