Purpose of Position:
Bakery Production Team Member is a entry level production position at Shelby's Donuts. Team Member is responsible for quality and timely production of donut, cookie, muffin, and other pastry products. Production must be at company standard and produced in accordance with state and federal safety standards.
Job Responsibilities:
The list below contains tasks that are typically associated with the job. It is not all-inclusive and may vary.
  • Mix all the bakery's dough types according to recipe and standard.
  • "Loaf" doughs
  • "cut" doughs into the appropriate shapes at consistent, quality standard.
  • Make apple fritters to quality standard.
  • Make "Persian" style donuts to quality standard.
  • "pan-up" and bake pre-deposited muffins and cookie pucks to quality standard.
  • Work the finishing station where donuts are filled, glazed and decorated.
  • Fry the various types of donuts.
  • Can do general station cleaning including (but not limited to) dishes, sweeping floors, wiping tables, taking out trash, etc.
  • Properly proof yeast donut items
  • Place finished products on trays to be loaded onto route trucks.
  • Can route donuts to the appropriate store.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Ability to work nights and weekends
  • Proper adherence to company standards and schedules
  • Proper effort in learning job duties, and proper effort in executing.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance on a ladder and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee must be able to work in varying temperatures.
