Job description


Job Title: Personal Trainer/Fitness Class Instructor

Position Type: Part-Time (under 30 hours per week)

Reports To: General Manager

The Personal Trainer/Fitness Class Instructor will be an integral part of day-to-day business at Evolve Athletic Club, a boutique gym/class experience. They will handle all aspects of the business including, but not limited to, scheduling prospects and clients, performing general performance evaluations, workout programming, class instruction, workout recovery and stretching, and finally maintaining all aspects of the facility.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with members on a private to semi-private basis
  • Lead high intensity instructor-based Boot Camps
  • Assess current and future members’ personal fitness goals
  • Create customized training programs for members
  • Motivate our members by connecting and building relationships with them on the fitness floor
  • Instruct and demonstrate to members the proper and safe use of equipment and exercise techniques
  • Maintain training equipment hygiene and safety
  • Develop a good rapport with clients and remain attentive to their needs
  • Facilitate referrals and offer membership and wellness packages to all current and potential members
  • Display a Passion for Fitness to all visitors of the gym and prospective clients
  • Owning and conducting the sales of training sessions and packages with members
  • Maintain knowledge and/or participation in all club services, programs and products

Qualifications:

  • 3 to 5 years of proven experience as a personal trainer
  • First aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation training required
  • B.S. in Exercise Science preferred
  • Excellent social, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Impeccable customer service and client focus
  • Strong working knowledge of fitness training, exercises, and equipment
  • Enthusiastic and passionate about fitness and health
