Hog Island Oyster Bar is looking for HOSTS! The Host position welcomes customers to our restaurant, and provides support for the rest of the service staff....which makes it a great opportunity to grow. If you have ever considered entering the restaurant industry in the past but never acted, this is the perfect time. If you are an experienced Host and have knowledge of POS systems and the service industry, even better. Candidates must have availability to work evenings.

Requirements
What we require:
  • Must be able to work weekends, Sundays required
  • Available 3-4 days per week
  • Great communication skills
  • Teamwork
  • Getting the job done with minimal direction
  • Excellent customer service even when the pressure is on
  • A passion for learning and talking about food, beer, wine and cocktails
  • A willingness to learn and grow
  • Availability to work evenings
  • The physical ability to stand for up to 10 hours per day and lift up to 50 pounds

The Host position entails arriving on time and ready to work, proper setting up and breaking down of the restaurant, and high attention to detail while attending to guests throughout service.
