Our Goodyear Behavioral Health Residential Facility (BHRF) is seeking two dependable, compassionate, and self-motivated Overnight Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs) to join our team. This part-time overnight position is ideal for individuals who thrive working independently and understand the importance of maintaining a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment for adults receiving behavioral health services.
The overnight shift plays a vital role in resident supervision, quality assurance, documentation, and ensuring the home is clean, organized, and prepared for the day shift.
Essential Responsibilities
- Conduct scheduled resident safety and wellness checks throughout the night.
- Monitor the facility to ensure a safe, secure, and therapeutic environment.
- Observe, document, and report changes in resident behavior or condition.
- Complete accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record.
- Provide support to residents while promoting dignity, independence, and recovery.
- Respond appropriately to emergencies and crisis situations.
- Ensure compliance with ADHS regulations, agency policies, and BHRF standards.
- Complete overnight quality assurance activities to maintain an inspection-ready facility.
- Maintain inventory of household supplies and notify leadership of items needing replenishment.
- Perform housekeeping duties, including:
- Cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms
- Cleaning the kitchen and dining areas
- Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting
- Emptying trash and replacing liners
- Laundry of facility linens and towels
- Organizing common areas
- Restocking paper products and hygiene supplies
- Identify and report maintenance or safety concerns before the end of the shift.
- Ensure the home is clean, organized, and ready for residents, visitors, and regulatory inspections.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Previous Behavioral Health Technician, caregiver, or residential treatment experience preferred.
- Experience working with adults diagnosed with Serious Mental Illness (SMI) is preferred.
- Valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card (or ability to obtain).
- CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities with minimal supervision.
Schedule
- Part-Time
- Overnight Shift: 11:00 PM โ 7:00 AM
- Two positions available
- Weekend and holiday availability may be required.
