Job description

The Division of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery at NYU Langone Hospital – Long Island invites qualified individuals to apply for a full-time position, as an attending in General Otolaryngology. Applicants must have completed an accredited residency in Otolaryngology and must be board certified/eligible in Otolaryngology.  The major responsibilities will reside at the NYU Langone Hospital –Long Island in Mineola, NY with office hours in a satellite group office close to the hospital.

Academic appointment at the NYU Long Island School of Medicine is offered. Rank, tenure and compensation will depend on qualifications.

The opportunity involves joining a thriving and collegial multi subspeciality practice which include head and neck and reconstructive surgeons, pediatric otolaryngologists, general otolaryngologists, a neurootologist, a laryngologist, a facial plastic surgeon.  In addition to developing a robust clinical practice in General Otolaryngology, responsibilities will include providing emergency Otolaryngology call coverage.  Applicants should have an entrepreneurial mentality, and a strong interest in resident teaching.   No responsibility for facial trauma call coverage is expected or required, although it is available if desired.

Possibility to develop a part-time practice on Eastern Long Island, near the Hamptons is offered.

NYU Langone Hospital-Long Island is a leading non-profit health hospital that has at its core dedication to the highest quality of care, community service, education and research. As part of the large NYU Langone health system, the Division of Otolaryngology is integrated within a large network of primary care physicians and specialists source of constant referrals and support. The Division of Otolaryngology is associated with the Department of Otolaryngology at the Grossman School of Medicine in New York City, and is covered by senior residents from the Department. The NYUH-LI is also the site of multiple training programs. Commitment to academia is well established as demonstrated by our dedicated freestanding four story, 95,000 square feet building for research and SIM training center and the site of one of the nation’s few three year and tuition free medical schools.

 Compensation: $275,000-$350,000 with strong productivity incentives and high earning potential.

The salary range listed is for full-time employment and does not include incentive compensation or benefits. Actual salary may not fall within the listed salary range; consideration will be made for experience, training, hospital/community need, and other factors.
