Family Health Centers at NYU Langone, a designated Level 3 Medical Home, is the largest federally qualified health center network in New York State, and the second largest in the nation. It includes eight primary care sites, 40 school-based health centers and dental clinics, four day care centers, the nation's largest dental residency program, and New York State's largest behavioral health program. The network also includes 12 community medicine sites providing care to disenfranchised New Yorkers, comprehensive HIV services, chemical dependency programs, and a family support center that offers educational, vocational, and other social support programs. Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Student Intern.
In this role, the successful candidate Project Facilitator interns will assist with shaping, planning and executing Project SAFE programming and will serve as role models for peer educators.

Job Responsibilities:

Meet with facilitator to plan group

Help to set up and break down room on group days

Co-facilitate peer education group

Follow up with participants that miss group

Debrief with facilitator after each group

Serve as a role model in your group

Review contact sheets at the beginning of each cycle

Print out sign in sheets and make sure all participants sign in for groups and events

Assist in planning events and trips 

Attend all events and trips

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Previous experience as a peer educator in Project SAFE program
Senior in High School

Preferred Qualifications:
Strong leadership skills
Strong interpersonal skills

Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $12.00 - $17.00 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
