Behavioral Health Solutions (BHS) is seeking Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners (PMHNPs, FNPs, AGNPs) or Physician Assistants (PA-C) licensed in Washington to work direct care within our contracted Skilled Nursing Facilities.

Service areas incorporate:

  • Bellingham, Blaine, WA

Responsibilities:

  • Provide face-to-face psychiatric services to patients directly in Skilled Nursing Facilities.
  • Assess the patientโ€™s mental status based on symptoms.
  • Appropriately diagnose DSM-V disorders and develop treatment plans.
  • Apply appropriate medical decision-making skills for mental health issues including psychopharmacology options and non-pharmacological treatments.
  • Staff clinical cases with psychiatrists.

Job Type:

  • Full-time or Part-time available
    W2 Billable Hour or 1099 Independent Contractor Rates
  • As a provider with BHS, you will have the freedom to create your own schedule, days of the week preferred.

Requirements:

  • Licensed in Washington by the Board of Nursing in good standing with a focus in psychiatry.
  • Licensed by the Washington Board of Pharmacy in good standing to prescribe controlled substances (possession of a DEA)
  • Possession of Malpractice Insurance if Independent Contractor (offered by the company for W2 employees)
  • 1 year of Geri Psych Experience.
  • 1 year providing treatment within Skilled Nursing Facilities and/or Acute Rehab Hospitals.

Skills

  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Experience with EMR/EHR Systems (Athena I, a plus).
  • Excellent written communication.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Flexible, organized and functions under stressful situations.
  • Fluency in Spanish is a plus!
