Job description

Catholic Charities is hiring a part-time (25 hours per week) Maintenance Technician to support daily operations across our facilities. The technician will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, grounds work, vehicle inspections, and safety checks. The technician will also respond to work order requests, assist with preventative maintenance schedules, and ensure equipment and facilities are in good working order. This role reports to the Director of Administrative Services and requires strong problem-solving skills, reliability, and the ability to work independently.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Comfortable working independently or with limited supervision;
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to maintain maintenance logs.
  • Strong communication and time management skills.
  • Must be able to establish and maintain positive relationships with individuals and groups

Qualifications Required:

Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred

Experience:

  • Minimum of two years of experience in general maintenance, facilities, or building repairs.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in customer service; ability to troubleshoot and perform repairs across a variety of maintenance areas.
  • Must have a valid NM driver's license and clean driving record.

Preferred: Technical certifications in maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, or electrical fields. Experience with HVAC systems, plumbing, and electrical work. Experience working in nonprofit or mission-driven settings.


Must pass a state-enforced background check.
