Retail Production Assistant
SUMMARY OF POSITION
Retail Production Assistants are responsible for sorting and processing textiles and wares. The RPA is expected to be courteous and professional while upholding the Goodwill values of -Empowerment, Public Trust, Respect, Innovation, Quality, and Safety.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES, AND DUTIES
  • Process donations for hanging, tagging, tallying, and pricing
  • Maintain production levels to achieve store goals
  • When required, courteously address customer complaints, referring to the Store Manager or Crew Leader as necessary
  • Ensures inventory is distributed efficiently within store fixtures
  • Accept donations from the general public as needed, providing donation receipt upon request from the donor
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Maintains a clean, organized work area that is presentable to the general public and meets agency standards
  • Attend scheduled meetings as required
  • Perform custodial duties as necessary
  • Adhere to and enforce all safety and loss prevention procedures to prevent injury to others or him/herself and damage to any property, equipment, and/or inventory
  • Embrace the core values of the agency in the spirit in which the agency operates at work and in the community
  • Contribute to the fulfillment of department and agency objectives and goals
  • Comply with all department and agency policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Perform other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Demonstrate a professional mannerism with a high degree of customer service skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal employees and external customers
  • Ability to work well with others in a respectful and collaborative work manner
  • Ability to comprehend and follow instructions
  • Ability to read, and write with the ability to comprehend and complete agency forms as required for operational purposes
  • Bilingual preferred but not required

Additional requirements for a Donation Station Attendant II:
  • Ability to perform basic adding and subtracting math calculations

PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb, kneel, stoop, bend, and crouch for extended periods
  • Weather conditions - variable - including extreme heat and cold, may work outside for extended periods
  • Ability to work in a humid and/or dusty environment
  • Able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. or more with 2-person assistance
