Join our 28-bed Neurosciences Unit at Atrium Health Cabarrus, proudly recognized by The Joint Commission as an Advanced Thrombectomy Capable Stroke Center and a Pathway to Excellence designated hospital. Our team provides exceptional care to patients with stroke, seizure disorders, multiple sclerosis, Guillain-Barre syndrome, and other complex neurological conditions. The unit features six Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) rooms for continuous EEG monitoring and three Intermediate Care beds for patients requiring advanced observation and specialized nursingexpertise. We foster a supportive, team-centered culture where nurses are empowered to grow, lead, and contribute to continuous improvement through shared governance and professional development. ExpectationsWe'reLooking For:

  • BSN or currently enrolled in BSN Program

  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association

About This Location:

Atrium Health Cabarrus is a 457-bed tertiary care facility serving Cabarrus, Mecklenburg, and surrounding counties. As a designated Level III Trauma Center, we provide comprehensive emergency services and a wide range of specialty medical care. We are proud to hold disease-specific certifications in Stroke, Epilepsy, Spine, Bariatrics, and Chest Pain Center care.

Education, Experience and Certifications

Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing. Current RN licensure in appropriate state. Minimum two years nursing experience preferred. Previous management experience preferred. BSN required. RN candidates for external hire or internal promotion without BSN must be enrolled in a BSN program within 1 year of Hire/Transfer date and must complete program within 3 years of enrollment in the program. BLS required per policy guidelines. Appropriate professional certification (either clinical or leadership) is required within 1 year of eligibility for professional certification exam. Additional education, training, certifications, or experience may be required within the department by the nurse leader.
