Job description

Pagosa Springs Medical Center has an opportunity available for a full or part-time Neurology physician. The physician’s duties will include management of Neurology patients including examination, treatment, consultation, follow-up, referral, and ordering labs/imaging. The physician will also participate in patient satisfaction programs, quality improvement initiatives and any organizational or departmental goals and objectives to assure safe, quality care. The physician will work in PSMC’s Specialty Clinic on a schedule that meets PSMC patient needs while supporting work/life balance. 

Part-Time Schedule and Compensation:

  • Up to 20 hours per week for 46 weeks per year, negotiable
  • Rate: $200 per hour
  • Starting Work Bonus: $10,000
  • Annual CME Bonus: $3,000

Full-Time Schedule and Compensation:

  • Five 8-hour shifts or four 10-hour shifts except when on PTO 
  • 260 hours of paid time off (PTO) per contract year
  • Rate: $1600/8-hour shift or $2000/10-hour shift
  • Starting Work Bonus: $20,000
  • Annual CME Bonus: $6,000

Retirement:

  1. 401a (mandatory plan): employee and employer each contribute 6% of earnings subject to five-year vesting
  2. 457: optional retirement plan.

Additional Benefits:   PSMC provides professional liability insurance coverage, Colorado Medical license, and DEA license.  Healthcare benefits are available for full-time employees, some healthcare benefits are available for part-time employees. PSMC is a Public Service Loan Forgiveness eligible employer.
