The Mustard Seed at SouthGate mall is looking for a part-time bookkeeper!

The Mustard Seed is an Asian-fusion restaurant with 2 locations, one in Missoula and another in Spokane. Because of our commitment to employee satisfaction, the Mustard Seed offers many benefits for our team, because great service and a happy workplace begins with our staff. Benefits include paid time off and discounted employee meals.


as a part time bookkeeper you will be assisting the restaurant with managing their books, preparing mail, running reports in our POS software and other various office tasks needed to facilitate the restaurant!


The Mustard Seed was started in 1978 in Missoula, Montana by a group of friends and family. Included in that group were sisters Betty and Nancy Tokumoto and Betty's husband, David Hall. Betty and Nancy grew up in Okinawa, Bangkok, and Hawaii and attended college in Oregon; so, they have a unique ability to blend the cooking styles of the Far East with the tastes of the Pacific Northwest. Our recipes were created or inspired by the Tokumoto sisters.


Duties include:

  • Gathering invoices for payment
  • Print menus when needed
  • Count cash drops from previous day and reconcile to receipts and record information
  • Record and maintain daily books
  • Prepare tills for the day
  • Write up and prepare deposits
  • Prepare outgoing mail
  • Order office supplies
  • Run various reports in POS software
  • Transfer sales information from POS to other accounting software
  • Additional various office tasks as needed

Requirements:

  • 1 year of bookkeeping experience (preferred)
  • ability to pass a background check.
