Job description

Music Teacher (Ages 4–18)

Inspire the Next Generation of Musicians

We are one of Greater Boston's fastest-growing music schools, and we're looking for outstanding music teachers who are passionate about helping kids discover confidence through music.

We're hiring instructors to teach students ages 4–18 in a fun, supportive, and high-energy environment. Whether you specialize in guitar, piano, drums, voice, bass, ukulele, or multiple instruments, we'd love to meet you.

If you enjoy teaching, connecting with students, and watching young musicians grow, this is an opportunity to build lasting relationships while doing work you genuinely enjoy.

What You'll Do

  • Teach engaging music lessons and small group classes.
  • Inspire students of all experience levels—from beginners to advanced players.
  • Help students develop strong musical skills while making learning fun.
  • Prepare students for performances, recitals, and live shows.
  • Communicate professionally with parents about student progress.
  • Collaborate with a supportive team of passionate music educators.

We're Looking For

  • Experience teaching music to children or teens (preferred).
  • Strong proficiency on one or more instruments:
    • Guitar
    • Piano
    • Drums
    • Voice
    • Bass
    • Ukulele
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Dependable, organized, and professional.
  • Positive, energetic, and encouraging teaching style.
  • Ability to connect with students of different ages and learning styles.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in music or music education (or currently pursuing one).
  • Professional performance experience.
  • Experience teaching private lessons, group classes, school music programs, or camps.
  • Multi-instrumentalists are encouraged to apply.

Schedule

  • Part-time with opportunities to grow.
  • Primarily weekday afternoons, evenings, and Saturdays.
  • Flexible scheduling based on availability.

Compensation

Competitive hourly pay based on experience, teaching ability, and versatility.

We are more than a music school—we're a community. Our teachers enjoy a positive, collaborative culture where creativity is celebrated and students are excited to learn. We provide the curriculum, support, and performance opportunities so you can focus on what you do best: inspiring young musicians.

Whether you're an experienced educator, a working musician, or a recent music graduate looking to build a rewarding teaching career, we'd love to hear from you.
