Job Description Summary

Under the supervision of the class instructor, the Art Model stands in front of a drawing and/or painting class for the duration of class, which is roughly 50 minutes. This position is open to SF students, except for those currently enrolled in ART1301C or ART2501C and those below the age of 18.

Responsibilities and Duties Include:

  • Work is performed under supervision of the class instructor during class hours.

  • Models must be able to work with instructors, be punctual, and record hours after each working session.

  • Models must be able to hold poses for up to 50 minutes.

  • Complies with all published College Rules, procedures, guidelines, and laws/regulations governing public employees, including but not limited to those related to document retention and destruction, FERPA, and confidentiality.

  • Provides service excellence through courteous, informed, accessible and professional engagement.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required: Must be comfortable posing clothed or nude and must be able to hold poses for up to 50 minutes. Must be 18 years of age or older. Cannot be a SF student currently enrolled in ART1301C or ART2501C.

Additional Requirements:A criminal background check will be conducted.

Preferred:Body awareness and the ability to twist, turn, bend and accentuate the 3-dimensional qualities of the figure in poses is highly desirable.
