JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Penn State Brandywine's Art Department is seeking a model for its Intro Drawing courses which are taught from "observation". Models are responsible for striking and holding traditional poses including but not limited to standing, sitting, reclining, action (for gesture drawing), full figure, views and or portraiture, depending on the lesson.

Job Duties
  • Provide a full range of poses and/or movements as required by instructor.
  • Stand for short intervals of 2 minutes to 20 minutes with short (10-minute breaks) at the end of every 20-minute drawing session.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Professional experience is preferred but not required.
  • Models will need to be able to stand on a traditional model-stand (28" height).
  • Our models do not have to be nude but will need to be in sportswear.
  • Must be comfortable maintaining poses in front of a class.
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and professional. This is a part-time opening, and pays $18 per hour.
