WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO

The Hawker (also known as Hawking) is a high-energy, guest-facing role responsible for selling and serving beverages at satellite bars, mobile service carts, and pop-up service points throughout the venue during live events. This position is designed to maximize speed of service, increase per-cap sales, and enhance the guest experience by bringing beverage service directly to the crowd during peak volume periods.

Hawkers may operate from fixed satellite bars or work the crowd with mobile beverage carts, moving efficiently within assigned areas to serve guests quickly and responsibly.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Operate satellite bars, pop-up bars, and mobile beverage carts during events

Navigate assigned venue areas while working the crowd to proactively sell beverages

Prepare and serve beer, wine, and limited cocktails according to venue standards

Provide fast, friendly, and engaging guest service in a high-volume environment

Handle cashless POS transactions accurately and efficiently while mobile

Maintain proper ID checks and ensure responsible alcohol service at all times

Monitor and restock beverages, ice, and supplies on carts or satellite bars as needed

Keep carts, satellite bar areas, and surrounding service zones clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety standards

Communicate with bar leads and management regarding inventory needs, guest issues, or crowd flow concerns

WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING

Qualifications

Must be at least 21 years of age

Previous bartending, barback, concessions, or guest service experience preferred

Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume live entertainment environment

Strong communication and customer service skills

Comfortable standing for long periods and lifting up to 20 lbs

Ability to navigate crowds and work efficiently in tight spaces

IPACT/Responsible Beverage Service certification (or ability to obtain prior to first shift)

SCHEDULING AND AVAILABILITY

Event-based, part-time position
