Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Under direct supervision of Dr. Sini Nwaobi, the employee will assist with in-vivo testing and data collection and will perform drug dosing, animal husbandry, animal surgeries, behavioral pain testing, and molecular work as it relates to the investigation of migraine pathophysiology in rodent models. The employee will also assist in clinical research studies that include developing educational materials for migraine awareness, data management of ultrasound measurements, and analyzing data from large academic health records. The employee will develop new experimental designs, perform experiments, and effectively present experimental results in recurring laboratory meetings.
Part-time, limited appointment, may convert to career.
Hourly salary range: 30.12 - 35.92
Job Qualifications

Knowledge of standard laboratory equipment and supplies
Good communication skills and ability to work well with multiple individuals
Ability to work on several projects simultaneously and to switch focus as needed
Attention to detail, for accurate data entry and analysis
Ability to learn and adapt to new laboratory techniques and new lab equipment, as needed
Ability to work according to schedule and to coordinate work with other lab staff
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to work independently, organize, and prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively
Ability to maintain a clean, organized working area
As a condition of employment, the final candidate who accepts an offer of employment will be required to disclose if they have been subject to any final administrative or judicial decisions within the last seven years determining that they committed any misconduct; or have filed an appeal of a finding of substantiated misconduct with a previous employer.
