What You'll Do:
As an Independent Living Skills Trainer, you'll coach and support individuals as they build the practical skills needed to live independently.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Teaching daily living skills such as meal planning, cooking, household organization, and personal routines.
- Assisting with budgeting, money management, and community resources.
- Supporting communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Encouraging participation in community activities and social engagement.
- Providing supervision and non-medical support based on individualized service plans.
- Documenting progress and collaborating with the interdisciplinary care team.
- Celebrating every milestone as individuals achieve greater confidence and independence.

Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
- Reliable transportation and proof of automobile insurance.
- Experience supporting individuals with acquired brain injuries:
- Minimum of 2 years with a high school diploma or equivalent, or
- Minimum of 1 year with a bachelor's degree.
